Not My Fault
Erin posted something that made Kenny post something that made me post this. I was totally obsessed with this as a kid. Do NOT know why.

Christian the Frog
I ran across this on the DListed website and totally enjoyed it.
Sit back and see the comparisons of Kermit the Frog and Christian Bale.
Brilliant.

Damn Gustav
So when we heard that Gustav was coming, we did what anybody else would have done. Gas up, get supplies, and have a dress-up party at Timmy's house.

Then the reality came with the regular sights and sounds. Boarding up, PANIC on the news, everyone saying we were going to be wiped off the face of the earth. The normal stuff.

Well, Brandy begged me to take the animals outta there and I didn't want to be without A/C for that long.....so I went.

Mistake.
Pictures are not needed to describe what it's like to go home. "Why would you want to live in a place like that anyway?" "You should just move back home." "You should really go see so-and-so because, you know, she's getting REALLY old...."
Screw this. No A/C or not, I was going home.
So it was the regular stuff there, too.
(and yes, Mr Peepers survived the staum!)

We had to either cook or throw out all of the meat in T's fridge so we made it into MeatFest 2008 and just cooked it all. Pretty good. Other than that, we just drank and drank and drank some more. We got drunk enough to not really care about how hot it was or how hard it was to find ice.

One down. Probably a few more hurricanes to go. Then two whole weeks of fall! I can't wait!

Legend Has It
There is a large mythical creature roaming the streets of New Orleans. Behold, the Pothole Killer. It is a lean, mean, pothole-filling machine. It dispenses tar and pebbles and magic to repair potholes and nobody even gets out of the beast. It was sighted from my balcony. If you have not seen it in action, you will now.

The Sparkliest Stone
i don't know if i should be proud of this or not, but i play this song (and other great Diamond hits) way more than anyone should. and usually really loud. i might be lame.
